Semalt Expert: Get More Visitors To Your Website With Semalt's Dedicated SEO Dashboard

On my advice or someone else's, you've taken the step: you're going to start using the Dedicated SEO Dashboard. You've finalized the projects, checked every tab and now, you're stuck. Because the Dedicated SEO Dashboard is so vast that you don't know exactly how or what to do.

To help you on your way, I have listed eight ways for you to attract more visitors to your website with the Dedicated SEO Dashboard.

So let's start with the first point which is keyword research!

1. Find relevant long-tail keywords

I don't have (at least, so I hope) to explain to you that the success of your organic findability depends on your content strategy and the keywords you use.

The start (and basis) of any SEO strategy is therefore finding out what the best and most relevant keywords are for your website / company. And you can do it with the 'Keyword in Top' feature of the Dedicated SEO Dashboard.

The 'Keyword in Top' feature not only helps you find the keywords with the most volume, but also the so-called long-tail keywords.

These are often combinations of several words, which are searched less per month.

But because there is less competition for them and the relevance of the keyword for your website is often also greater, they can yield more.

A small example: as a plumber in Arnhem, the keyword "plumber" may be interesting for you, but "plumber Arnhem" or " decent plumber Arnhem" are of course much more interesting.

How do I use the 'Keyword in Top' feature?

Make sure you see "Keyword in Top" at the top left of the Dedicated SEO Dashboard panel (you'll see it when you log in). Then click on "Keyword in Top" under the "Keyword Search" section.

Then enter the keyword you're interested in and click on 'Search'. You will then receive a list of relevant long-tail keywords.

2. Determine the most profitable content from competitors

One of the best and simplest ways to gain inspiration is of course copying your competitors; especially the best scoring ones.

Indeed, why spend so much time finding blog topics, when you can find all the topics of a competitor at the click of a mouse.

If I also tell you that with the Dedicated SEO Dashboard you can immediately see which of your competitors' blogs are getting the best results and generating the most visitors, won't you be satisfied?

Finding the content with the best score is now possible and easy! Just go to the Google SERP Analysis menu.

This DSD feature set allows you to find out your website's position in the Google SERP as well as the top-ranked pages and keywords. In addition, this competitive analysis feature allows you to know the main competitors in the searched niche, check the keywords that generate traffic for them and get an idea of their promotion strategy.

3. Track (and act on) your positions within Google

I've said it many times before, but I'll say it again: A high ranking in Google is never the goal, it's a means. It's the customers and conversions that count.

That is the essence of all the processes I carry out for my clients. It doesn't mean that I don't focus on higher positions in Google, but it's never what I aim for.

Now that I've noted that, it's essential to emphasize that you need to know where you're ranking in Google and for which keywords.

And it's even more important to know if you're down or up. Because then you can immediately take action when your competitors are accelerating or when you might have a Google penalty hanging on your pants.

You want to be able to see your position in Google per country, language, and per device. So always make sure that you also set that up properly within the DSD. This is how you keep track of your positions in Google with the DSD: Within the DSD, go to 'Position Tracking' under the heading Best Page. Then click on the project in question, enter any keywords and check the data. It is then up to you to look into this on a daily or weekly basis and to respond to the changes in data you see.

4. Improve the technical condition of your website and solve problems

Now that you know which keywords to use in your texts and in which position you can be found in Google, it is time to improve the technical condition of your website.

This is something I think the Dedicated SEO Dashboard excels at. In my opinion, the Dedicated SEO Dashboard has one of the most comprehensive technical SEO tools.

Within the 'Technical SEO audit' (that is the name of the technical analysis tool of the Dedicated SEO Dashboard) a distinction is made between three categories:

Errors - These are problems that are bad for your organic findability and should therefore be addressed as soon as possible. Think of problems with your sitemap, your robots.txt, duplicate content, and broken links.

Warnings - These are points for improvement in the field of SEO within your website that are not urgent. You should definitely pick them up, but they are not the highest priority. Examples include images without alt tags, missing meta descriptions, or pages without H1.

Notices - I also call these the beauty flaws. They don't make or break your SEO, but they are worth mentioning. Think of an external link without nofollow or an orphan page.

This is how you view the Site Audit of your website:

Click on Webpage analyzer and enter your domain name. Then see all errors, warnings, notices, and even a list containing the 3 most important technical problems within your website.

5. Find out who your (biggest) competitors are in the SEO field

Almost every entrepreneur can name his / her 5 biggest competitors. But 9 times out of 10, these aren't your biggest competitors online. Because not every company is just as active online as offline. And by online competitors, I mean your competitors in Google. So your organic competitors.

It is very important to find out about these competitors so that you can keep a close eye on them in the Dedicated SEO Dashboard, but also so that you can see what kind of content they publish and what strategy they use. You can then learn from this and get on with it.

6. Check out your lost backlinks and try to get them back

One of the most labor-intensive activities within SEO is link building. First, you spend a lot of time finding out the website where you can place a link and then you also have to make a good deal. And there is still a good chance that they will not respond, that they will not post links, or that you will have to pay for the link (which can amount to hundreds of euros).

What if there were a link-building strategy that costs nothing and has a much higher success rate than the strategy I mentioned above?

That free link building strategy is namely the recovery of lost backlinks. In other words, backlinks that have been removed.

7. See where your competitors' ads are and who they're targeting

The Dedicated SEO Dashboard is known as an all-in-one SEO tool. But actually, it is much more than that. The Dedicated SEO Dashboard describes itself as an 'Online Visibility Platform'. And being visible online which also includes advertisements.

In recent years, the Dedicated SEO Dashboard has been added many new functionalities in the field of advertising. This way you can now also see which display ads your competitors are running.

You can then see exactly which advertisements they use, to which landing pages interested parties are redirected, which target group they target, and which publishers they use.

8. Check which backlinks your competitor has and your website does not yet

I said it earlier in this article, but the easiest way to generate new content and backlink ideas is to copy your competitors.

One of the features I use the most within the DSD is the Google SERP Analysis. In other words, the keywords for which you are not found, but your competitors are.

The Dedicated SEO Dashboard is one of the most powerful tools on the market and an asset for everyone.
